Bernard and Malika Gelibert welcome you to their 3 bedroom Charente accommodation.Ideal for a relaxing holiday.Registered with Gites de France. Our property is regularly inspected to ensure a high quality.

Our gite is situated in the small hamlet of Le Chatenet in the commune of St Amant de Bonnieure,in the Charente region of South West France.A converted barn now offering 3 bedrooms,lounge,dining kitchen and bathroom.There is also a patio area at the rear of the property leading onto a large garden with an in ground swimming pool.The hamlet,of some 20 houses,is surrounded by fields of sunflowers.There are many country tracks for walking or cycling leading down to the Bonnieure river where one can fish (permit required).About a kilometre away is the village of St Angeau with a bar tabac,butchers, bakers and grocery store.The gite is a the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday.

Fully equipped kitchen/dining room.For all your self catering needs.Hob/oven,dishwasher,washing machine,microwave,fridge/freezer,plentifull supply of cooking utensils and crockery.
Large oak farmhouse table.

Sitting room

Large lounge area with comfortable suite.Television with both French television and BBC ITV channels.DVD player.Small library of books in English.Patio door leading to the patio,garden and swimming pool.Stairs leading to the bedrooms and bathroom.Patio doors to the front onto the courtyard and parking area.

Bedrooms

On the upper floor of our gite are three bedrooms all with double beds.
The three individually furnished bedrooms all have wardrobes,bedside cabinets and bedside lights.
From all three bedrooms are views over the Charente countryside.

Bathroom

The bathroom is also on the upper floor with bath/shower,washbasin and vanity unit.Fully tiled.The WC is seperate from the bathroom.

Patio

At the rear of the gite,a tiled patio area with table and chairs and a BBQ.
Ideal for al fresco dining,sipping a glass of wine,watching the glorious sunsets over the fields.

Swimming pool

Our in ground swimming pool measures some 5 metres by 10 metres. It has a tiled sun bathing area around the pool with sunloungers.Fully fenced to comply with French safety regulations and the water quality is regularly monitored and inspected by the French health authorities.

Garden and Courtyard

At the front of our self catering gite is a walled and gated courtyard with undercover parking for two cars.
The garden is at the back of the property and leads onto farmland.In the garden are swings and slide for children.

Additional info on our Charente accommodation

Originally a typical Charente barn our self catering accommodation was recently converted into a 3 bedroom gite.
Professionally converted it has retained many of the typical features. Exposed stone walls in the sitting room and kitchen area,oak beamed ceiling and a charantais fireplace.In the bedrooms can be seen the original oak roof beams.In keeping with the character are terracotta tiles on the ground floor and oak flooring in the bedrooms.The property has full central heating for the colder months.A high chair and a childs cot are provided, if required, free of charge.Also advertised on
